Bill's Beer Run 2020 BBR Pub Runs

WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH BBR IN 2020?

As you all know, Bill’s Beer Run has been the annual fundraiser for the Manasota Track Club for 31 straight years to help fund college scholarships and youth running programs in our local community.  This year COVID cancelled what would have been the official 32nd Annual Bill’s Beer Run 5-miler on Casey Key.  

Since we cannot run the BBR on Casey Key this year, the BBR Committee and the MTC Board have decided to at least continue with the BBR Pub Run Series (5k for all runs).  

***You must be an active member of the Manasota Track Club when you register.***

2020 BBR PUB RUNS

There will be a maximum of 150 participants at each of the BBR Pub Run sponsor locations.  You know how fast these spots fill up so sign up soon.  You have until September 25th at 7:00 a.m. to register so that we can get the shirts in on time for the first BBR Pub Run. 

Our gracious BBR Pub Run Sponsors are listed below along with their corresponding BBR Pub Run dates:

·      Sunday, October 11th  at Raffurty’s Bar and Grill located at 1888 Main St., Sarasota, FL MAP

·      Sunday, October 18th at Big Top Brewing located at 6111 Porter Way, Sarasota, FL

·      Sunday, October 25th at Tamiami Tap located at 711 S. Osprey Ave., Sarasota, FL

In addition to a really cool shirt, BBR Pub Run participants get to participate in the post-run (COVID safe) party which will include food from our sponsors along with a drink BOGO.  PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO TIP THE SERVERS TOO FOR ALL OF THEIR HARD WORK!

Participants that register for the BBR Pub Runs will get to choose one (1) from the following shirt options when registering.  There are three (3) styles of shirts for you to choose from.  If you register for all three (3) pub runs, you can get one of each style.  The shirt descriptions are listed below:

Since BBR is the biggest fund raiser of the year, we hope to raise funds so that we can continue on our mission to provide college scholarships and help with the local youth running programs.  

We are selling a really cool limited edition, retro BBR specialty shirt that may look familiar to some of our dedicated MTC members – it is just a little modified to fit the year 2020.

The shirt is a Next Level CVC Short Sleeve Crew, 60/40 Combed Ring Spun Cotton/Polyester in Turquoise.

You will be able to purchase this limited edition shirt for $20.00 per shirt when you check out.

PACKET PICKUP

The packet pickup dates are TBD at this time, and we will notify you once the dates have been confirmed.  There is also the option for packet pickup at each of the locations on the day of the BBR Pub Runs. 

VOLUNTEERS

We will need volunteers for each BBR Pub Run.  We will need people for packet pickup, registration, course set up/take down, photographers, and people to help clean up at the end of the event.

• No-shows forfeit shirts unless notified prior to the last Pub Run on October 25, 2020 to make alternate arrangements.
